James Barnes (1870 - 1923) "Gathering May" An Exceptional Museum Quality Watercolor on Paper depicting a girl sitting on a tree trunk, picking flowers, very realistic, circa 1881.
Signed and dated 1881 lower left. Includes tag on reverse from Daniel Rees Fine Art Dealer showing the artists other works that he exhibited in the Royal Academy.
James Barnes exhibited at the Royal Academy in London from the 1870s to 1901.
