A French Louis XVI Style Ormolu-Mounted Marquetry and Parquetry Commode, circa 1875.
A very fine French 19th century finely chased ormolu-mounted kingwood, tulipwood, and satinwood marquetry and parquetry commode with original Breche Violette marble-top. With three large drawers and ormolu ring pulls and a centre apron drawer with a floral ormolu decoration, the corners surmounted with acanthus ormolu mounts, raised on four cabriolet legs ending with scrolled sabots.
37" high x 53" wide x 25" deep.
In very good condition overall. No damages noted. Normal wear consistent with age and use. Ready to place. -
