Description
Extraordinary high-quality Art Deco Sideboard or Buffet, probably from Belgium about 1930.
Rosewood veneered with maple band inlays. Completely restored and varnished with piano lacquer high gloss. Standing on 2 legs and long veneered plinth.
Inside bright maple wood, left, right and center one shelf each. Center top 2 drawers with metal handles.
All doors inside with counter veneered. Sheathed bar lock. Doors can be removed by a fancy simple sliding mechanism. Engaging doors by roller mechanism at the bottom. High quality original and newly nickel plated hinges. Key escutcheons in ivory.
Manufacturer and Designer unknown. Maybe De Coene Freres. There is an „M“ or „W“ or the anchors for the shelves.
