1970s Italian fine design black lacquered sideboard or cabinet, entirely handcrafted, a documented modern design: Vulcan by Aldo Frigerio for Gio' Frigerio (Desio - Milan). High quality of execution with an unusual front handcrafted in copper with a brushed finish that gives the appearance and luster of gold; the back also is finished in black lacquer so that the piece can be used as a freestanding divider or table or console away from the walls, with a sophisticated black lacquered interior that reveals four drawers exquisitely lacquered in china red. Raised on a black plinth. Few of these cabinets were manufactured: each, being individually handcrafted, presented different features, so that each piece is unique.
