Large 1950s opaline glass & metal ceiling lamp attributed to Lisa Johansson-Pape. Executed in blown opaline glass, painted metal and chrome. Unmarked.
A contemporary of Paavo Tynell, the refined work of Lisa Johansson-Pape has made her an increasingly valued midcentury Finnish lighting designer. Her lamps have long been coveted by discerning collectors worldwide.
Price is per item. Two lamps available.
Accommodates 1x standard medium base 100W equivalent LED. Rewired for US electrical with new period style ceiling plate for hardwiring over a standard American j-box. Not UL listed, but recommended UL listing possible from authorized 3rd party vendor upon request for an additional fee. Some age appropriate scuffs, bends, dings, losses and patina as largely shown and noted only for accuracy.
Please note only one representative example is featured in the listing photos, but both lamps in similarly good condition. Some variation from lamp to lamp; pieces present well as a pair. -
