Description
A rare 19th Century Irish fool's chair circa 1840 made of elm with splay legs and an old green painted surface. Also called famine or hedge chairs, these eccentric and individually unique chairs were hand made by Irish peasants and consequently few survived. Condition: Worn with shrinkage. Nice patina
