French 19th Century Empire Style Sofa

Description
This handsome Empire style sofa is made of walnut from 19th Century France. The decorative laurel wreath and floral green upholstery is lovely against the bright wood frame. The fabric is slightly worn as one would expect with over two centuries of use, making it a comfortable spot in your home to relax. Along the back cushion, nail heads securing the upholstery are visible. The bottom seat cushion is trimmed with a cream colored cording for an extra touch of detail. The sofa is flanked by matching columns with cast brass capitals and bases, topped with a cast brass floral ornamentation. Seat height is 15”.
