Curved back, wooden frame, conic wooden feet
Re-upholstered in ivory and yellow gold velvet. Elegant tapered feet. Walnut, velvet.

Between 1936 and 1945, Gio Ponti produced a series of furniture with a "comfortable" line for the Casa & Giardino production, including a series of armchairs with curved and very enveloping backrests.
in the VI Triennale di Milano in 1936 Gio Ponti presented a series of furnishings inspired by comfort and simplicity including a first series of armchairs from the CASA & GIARDINO production.

Lorenzo Ciompi is a private collector with a wide experience in Italian design achieved starting from the beginning of the 90's. His collection includes famous items designed by Gio Ponti as well as other well-known Italian designers such as Ico Pairisi, Osvaldo Borsani, Carlo De Carli , Carlo Mollino, Melchiorre Bega, Joe Colombo. A lot of furniture items projected by these designers were published on important magazines such as AD, The World Interiors, Elle, Domus.
