Description
Depth: 20" || Creator: John Pollard Seddon || John Pollard Seddon (1827-1906), a pair of Gothic Revival oak dining chairs. This dark leather upholstered pair of dining chairs were made ensuite with the very rare and important Gothic Revival armchair by J. P. Seddon for The Great Exhibition of 1851, carved in oak, embossed leather and caned. White way, Michael and Gere, Charlotte '19th-Century Design'London 1933, illus. P. 84. Cooper, Jeremy' Victorian and Edwardian Furniture and Interiors' London 1987, p. 104, illus. 220 and p. 105, illus 227. I also have two more pairs available to make a set of six, please enquire.
