Depth: 20" || Creator: John Pollard Seddon || John Pollard Seddon (1827-1906), six Gothic Revival oak dining chairs. These upholstered dining chairs are the side chairs en suite to the important Gothic Revival armchair by J. P. Seddon designed for The Great Exhibition of 1851, carved in oak, embossed leather and caned. Whiteway, Michael and Gere, Charlotte 'Nineteenth-Century Design' London 1933, illus. P. 84.
