U K by George Warrington Taylor in 1866 the business manager at that time for Morris Marshall, Faulkner & Co. He drew a sketch and wrote a description of the chair and sent it to Philip Webb who adapted it for production by Morris, Marshall, and Faulkner 1861-1875 and in turn designed this settee to compliment the armchairs. A rare Morris and Co daybed also designed by Philip Webb from the same suite sold at Christie's Auction House London (sale number 1115) for G BP 30, 000 on 1st May 2013.
