These wonderful chairs were designed by Philippe Starck for Italian manufacturer Driade and were built in the 1980s. Not many of these ever made it to the US, and very few were produced in this color combination. Most commonly, these chairs are found in black on black, but these chairs feel quite different compared to those. Our chairs and the contrast in the colors highlight the architectural modern feel that these chairs were designed with. The oak grain adds some texture that we feel benefit the chair and allow it to look great in more places. The construction is classically excellent, as should be expected from a premium Italian manufacturer. These chairs, in their original condition, are ready for another few decades of use.

In very good original condition. Very often, these chairs are found with veneer chips and damage on the wood back. Ours, however, are fully intact. Sturdy and solid. You'll be very pleased with the condition of our chairs.
