Description
Pierre Jeanneret, French Mid-Century Modern, Compass Leg Low Stools, Teak, Cane, Chandigarh
Rare pair of low compass leg footstools or ottomans by Pierre Jeanneret c. 1960s, Model PJ-SI-34-A.
These exceptional pieces are authentic artifacts sourced directly from Chandigarh, India. Each item has been meticulously washed and polished to enhance its natural beauty, while the caning is new to ensure lasting comfort and durability. The character of the wood, with its inherent wear and strong patina, attests to its age and craftsmanship, complemented by the original mid-century teak base.
Due to the artisanal nature of these designs, dimensions may vary slightly, underscoring their unique character. With over 40 years of expertise in high design, our gallery stands behind the authenticity and quality of every item we offer. As a leading seller in the decorative arts marketplace, we take pride in our extensive collection of hundreds of five-star reviews from discerning clients. Our comprehensive facilities include multiple gallery spaces, a dedicated warehouse, a professional photo studio, and a specialized restoration atelier, ensuring we deliver only the finest to our clientele.
Other French designers of the period include Jean Prouvé, Maison Jansen, Charlotte Perriand, Pierre Paulin, Yves Klein, Jacques Adnet, Jean Royere, Pierre Chapo, Philippe Starck, Audoux Minet, Andre Arbus, Le Corbusier, Jean Nouvel.
