Remarkable Austrian Biedermeier chest of drawers/ writing commode veneered with finest nut wood from the period in Austria around 1840. Impressing with an absolutely amazing looking grain, this completely restored four drawer commode is a real transformer. Three big drawers provide a lot of storage room whereby the fold-out top drawer turns this chest into a fully functional writing desk. You just have to open and unlock the fold down nutwood veneered writing surface. Four small drawers in the back as well as an additional compartment in the middle make you feel sitting in front of real writing desk. Beautiful crafted brass fittings and a traditional hand-polished shellac finish completes the outstanding look of this unique early 19th century Biedermeier masterpiece.
