1970s Milo Baughman Style Split Pencil Reed Bamboo & Chrome Credenza or Cabinet
-
Description
Designed in the United States after the iconic Milo Baughman works, this piece was made in the US in the 1970s. The case piece is made of a wooden frame, the ornately decorated with hundreds of precisely cut and placed split bamboo pencil reeds. This results in a finish that mimics wooden parquetry work, but with a depth and texture not present in veneered work. The case piece is topped with a 1/4" sheet of glass, making it flat and more practical, and features chrome pulls, adding lightness and contrast. It is set on a welded and chromed square steel base, providing it with a sense of stability and stance. You'll appreciate the look and tone provided by the colors and style, and the practicality of the piece.
In very nice condition. General wear to be expected of a vintage piece. Finished on the front and back, so also practical as a room divider. -
