A late Victorian freestanding satinwood Carlton House desk, the curved rectangular top with the typical arrangement of six small drawers and a central cupboard around three sides, enclosing a leathered writing surface, sloping downwards to the front, decorated back and front with oval panels of radiating petals reserved on a dark harewood ground, the frieze with one long and two short drawers, all set upon square section tapering legs. English, circa 1880.
