    A Victorian ormolu-mounted, parcel giltwood, ebonised and olivewood library table.
    The bow-ended top with ebonised line inlay above two mahogany-lined drawers, one stamped GILLOWS & Co 12235, on carved, fluted and incised end-supports mounted with ormolu paterae on both sides. on castors.

    The work of the famous family firm of cabinet makers Gillow can be found in all the great house of Britain. There name is synonymous with the highest quality of materials used and workmanship.
    The firm was started br Robert Gillow in the second half of the 18 th century in Lancaster and soon expanded to London catering for all the great and the good.
