Angelo Mangiarotti 'Eros' Mondragone Marble Dining Table - 1971
-
Description
Eros Postmodern round dining table by Angelo Mangiarotti in mondragone marble, Skipper, Italy, 1970s. A stunning 'Eros' table designed by Angelo Mangiarotti in 1971 and produced by Skipper. The solid marble table features an ingenious gravity joint invented by Mangiarotti where the weight of the top securely fastens it to the center leg. The 'Eros' series is emblematic of Mangiarotti's rationalist and systematic approach to architecture and design. This beautiful example is made from polished Grigio Mondragone marble, with flecks of white and black on a brown-grey surface. Presented with Jorge Zalszupin's Brazilian modern dining chairs.
