Vintage Model 2134 Italian walnut flip-top table designed by Gio Ponti for M. Singer & Sons.
Two book-matched Italian walnut tops with beveled edges connected with recessed hinges over solid walnut tapering legs with brass sabots. The tops easily slide one direction and flip open converting the table from a console into a dining table. This piece was studio-made in Italy and imported and sold here in the United States through M. Singer & Sons in the 1950s.
