Description
High Gloss Art Deco Gaming Table in rosewood
English square gaming table from the 1970s, Art Deco style.
The envelope is a two-sided game board that can be lifted up. One side is veneered with rosewood with a high gloss varnish. The other side is lined with a mat made of fine, brick-coloured felt. The corners of the top are protected by chrome-plated metal brackets. The board also has small chrome-plated metal ball-shaped handles on each side, which make it easier to handle when turning it over.
Under the top, we find a hollow wooden structure provided with two compartments, one lined with a mat of the same colour as the board, and another with a sliding wooden cover that serves to store game chips.
The four thin, truncated cone legs of the table protrude from the four corners and emerge from the highest part of the table. These legs are crowned by a circular plate of chrome metal.
