Maison Baguès bronze Saint Gobain gilded glass coffee table 1950s
-
Description
This beautiful coffee table by French house Maison Baguès was created in the early 1950s with solid bamboo shaped bronze structure and an amazing Saint Gobain dalle de sable gilded top. The thick Neoclassical shaped glass top gilded with gold leaf is warm and beautiful, while the bronze bamboo feet details provide an imaginative base for the piece. This table is typical of the Chinese inspired work of Maison Baguès in the 1950s and 1960s, and offers a timeless, sophisticated look, with plenty of amazing details. The bronze structure has been fully cleaned, while the gilded glass top has remained untouched, with a beautiful gilded patina. The table has been fully restored, and is now found in a beautiful condition.
