Maison Jansen brass palm tree console table 1970s
-
Description
These palm tree sculptures are probably the most iconic pieces by French design firm Maison Jansen in the 1970s. This very rare example is made of two large palm trees sitting on a black wood and polished brass base, and topped with a transparent glass with brass screws attaching them together. What makes the Jansen palm tree pieces most extraordinary is the level of detail that went into every aspect, each piece of brass, from the leaves to the trunk, has been shaped to look and feel natural. Each palm tree features two light fixtures, and the piece takes a whole new dimension when lighted up. This console has been fully restored, and is found in a very good vintage condition. This collectible piece will instantly transform a space with a lavish French 1970s flair.
