    Serpentine Painted Card Table Attributed to John Barnhart of Baltimore
    A fine card table from Baltimore, painted with classical ruins in a romantic landscape and highlighted with gilt decoration on both on the front and side aprons. Based on identical examples, this table is attributed to John Barnhart, a sign and ornamental painter first listed in Baltimore in 1799. Mahogany, pine and poplar, circa 1810. Height: 29.5”; width: 36”; depth: 18”.
