Design, architecture, art, fashion, and furniture were all influenced by this modern movement, permeating every part of life in the bustling, vibrant city. This Art Deco dining table dates to the 1930s and was likely crafted in either Shanghai or Tianjin, two major hubs of Chinese Deco art and design. The expansive, rectangular top has burnished smooth from years of use, revealing the expressive grain patterns and luminous, warm brown color of the wood beneath.
