A gorgeous rare Paolo Malchiodi single armchair with sensual and organic shape is made of solid wood structure and wooden feet with conical shape. Visually appealing from all sides, this chair could be ideal for central placement in an interior of a bedroom or a living room.
It has been newly reupholstered in this stunning pink and blue horses galloping for a movement of composition cotton fabric, model Lasso, designed by French talented Paris-based fashion designer Vincent Darré, who is obsessed with the spirit of surrealism. Fabric edited by La Maison Pierre Frey. Italy, 1940s.
About the designer Paolo Malchiodi:
Paolo Malchiodi was an Italian architect and designer based in Florence. Several articles in Domus (published in the 1930s-1950s) feature his work, where it was discussed and shown alongside the work of well known Italian and French contemporaries such as Gio Ponti, Jean Roye`re, Carlo Mollino and Paolo Buffa. The majority of his designs were hand-produced by local woodworkers and craftsmen in and around Florence. -
