Chandelier Lamp Pendant Sputnik Sphere Mirror Steel Collectible Design Italy
-
Description
Table chandelier 'BeMine 33' composed of a sphere in mirror polished stainless steel and 33 sources of illumination.
Chandelier dimension: Diameter 45 cm.
Source of illumination: Halogen 12V/5W or LED, wiring for US and European market available, a dimmer regulates the intensity of light.
The highly polished stainless steel allows interesting games of reflection on the surface of the sphere, this also appears when the lamp is switched off.
Observing from different angles the reflection creates the sight of one or more revolvers drawing in the acrylic glass: Impossible to understand which is the real or the reflected image.
BeMine 33 comes from an infantile memory of a true story told by one of the designers mother, which still remembers when after the war as a little girl found a never detonated WWII shipping mine resting peacefully on a beach, dangerous and fascinating at the same time.
Our aim was to reproduce the sensation she had observing this mysterious object which spreads fear and respect, yet being of a certain beauty; transforming this terrible weapon of war into a source of illumination, an explosion of light.
Each lamp is hand signed and numbered by the artists (engraved). 100% handmade in Italy, comes with a “Certificate of Authenticity.”
