Gubi 3D Dining Chair in American Walnut by Komplot Design
-
Description
Gubi 3D dining chair in American Walnut by Komplot. Designed in 2003 by Boris Berlin and Poul Christiansen of Komplot Design, the Gubi Chair is the first furniture design to be based on the innovative technique of three-dimensional veneer molding. Due to this groundbreaking technology, the thickness of the veneer can be reduced by half, giving the chair a sleek look. Executed in American Walnut with a semi-matte lacquer. The 3D design gives the chair a comfortable seat and a sense of lightness – with all edges pointing away from the user. The Gubi Chair has won several prestigious design awards and is included in the permanent exhibition at the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York.
