A set of Anglo-Ceylonese specimen wood campaign wall shelves in a travelling box, of rectangular form with four graduated shelves and a carved cresting with scrolls centred on a shell, the shelves in satinwood, nedun, kadumberiya and sappoo, with gadroon carved edges, supported on turned spindles with finials also in differing woods including: palm, panolo and hora, the majority of the woods named in ink, the whole can be dismantled and packed into the original nedun wood box. Wick Antiques was established by Charles Wallrock in the early 1980s. Having grown up in the Antiques world Charles developed an extensive wealth of knowledge. Starting out as a ‘man with a van’ he quickly gained a good reputation and embarked on a longstanding relationship with Harrods. He was later joined by his wife, Caroline Wallrock.
