Iconic "Igelkott" or "Hedgehog" ("A1" model) table lamp designed by Gunnar Nylund (1904-1997) for Rörstrand Fabriks, having an ovoid form vertically raked to achieve a fantastically textured surface, in chamotte with a pale lettuce green glaze; Sweden, 1936-1950s, signed. (Please note that the 9" height cited is for the ceramic base only; with shade overall height would be approximately 18" high. Shade not included.)
