    English, 19th century.

    Octagonal shaped satinwood box. The lid with inlaid fleur-de-lis and stringing, cross-banded edges, and inlaid lock escutcheon (with key). Opens up to reveal a stunning interior sailor's valentine of Caribbean seashells, under a velvet lined lid. Standing on wooden ball form feet. 4" high, 11-1/4" wide x 7-1/8" deep.
