Exquisite table lamp by Carl Frederik Ludvigsen (1883-1958) for Royal Copenhagen, having a swelling form with long slender neck in stoneware with crystalline green-gray and blue-green glaze and bronze mount with beaded details; Denmark, between 1910s; Painted triple wave, artist mark, 854. (Base below socket 11 in. /28 cm H)

Ludvigsen led Royal Copenhagen's crystalline glaze division from 1911 to 1922, creating magnificent complex effects as exemplified by this outstanding lamp.
