Description
Designed by American design legend Ward Bennett, these chairs were produced in the mid 1980s by Brickel Associates, known for their American construction and exceptional quality. Not many of these chairs exist, and even fewer were made in this size.
This chair features top-shelf materials and superb construction. Upholstered in very thick dark blue/grey leather, it is set on a rare 5-pronged steel base with a bronze coating. The chair has 5 Shepherd wheels, also of bronzed steel. It also tilts, and has about 3 inches of height adjust via a threaded rod on the base. Also features a nameplate at the top of the backrest, which has not been engraved.
I got it from the AT&T building in Bedminster, NJ. Absolutely no expense was spared on furnishings, and while in use, was filled with the finest pieces from many of the most exclusive manufacturers in America. Castors have been replaced with Shepherd brand ball casters. General wear to leather. Good vintage condition. - More Information
