    Small occasional (telephone) table by Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) with metal structure entirely upholstered in black saddle-stitched leather, featuring two superimposed tops.
    The corners of the top are protected by gilded brass corners. The four legs end in gilded brass spheres.

    Biography

    Jacques Adnet (1900-1984) was a French architect, decorator and designer.

    He began his career working for Compagnie des Arts Français, a company specializing in the production of high-quality furniture.

    He became famous for his work in the 1950s, when he created interiors for luxury hotels, ocean liners and government offices.

    Jacques Adnet was a prolific and recognized designer of his time, receiving several awards for his work, including a gold medal at the Exposition Internationale des Arts Décoratifs et Industriels Modernes in Paris in 1925 and the prestigious title of “Master of Art” awarded by the French government in 1955.

    He also worked closely with luxury brands such as Hermès and Cartier to create high-quality leather accessories.

    Jacques Adnet was considered one of the most innovative designers of his time, and his legacy continues to influence modern design.
