Exquisite early 20th-century Italian basket chandelier, with a finely gilded metal frame draped in strands of crystal and glass that catch the light like water. The form is generous and sculptural: twelve candle-style lights arranged in a balanced crown, supported by an elegant cascade of crystal drops, teardrops, pendants, and cut-glass prisms that shimmer with movement.
The silhouette has that soft, flowing rhythm that only hand-assembled chandeliers from this period achieve — nothing rigid, nothing forced. The crystal elements are varied in size and cut, creating depth, reflection, and a natural glow when lit. Decorative glass rosettes and floral accents soften the structure and bring a quiet romanticism to the overall form.
