Artist Bio: Edu Danesi
Originally hailing from São Paulo, Brazil, Edu Danesi has made Belgium his creative home since 1996. After completing his studies in photography in Brussels, he transitioned into the world of painting, embracing a diverse range of artistic techniques.
Primarily self-taught, Edu explores various mediums, including painting, collage, drawing, graffiti, and stencil work, applying his creativity to canvas, wood, metal, body parts, and even walls. He believes in the power of imagery, stating, “The importance is that the image speaks and conveys emotion.”
Edu's artistic approach merges his photographic perspective with his painterly vision, infused with the vibrancy of his southern roots. This fusion results in works that are rich in color, sensuality, poetry, provocation, and positivity—a true cocktail of emotions.
In 2015, Edu gained recognition for his unique artwork on the hoods of iconic Porsche 911s. Each hood features vibrant colors and a distinctive painting style, all achieved through handmade techniques without the use of prints or stickers. Among his notable collaborations is a remarkable piece created for Magnus Walker, known as the "black sheep" of the Porsche family, showcasing Edu's exceptional talent and creativity.
