Reeta Gyamlani at Farrago Design
Showrooms
Reeta Gyamlani is founder and award-winning principal designer at New York City-based Farrago Design, offering high-end design services and heirloom quality home décor.
Since launching Farrago in 2003, Reeta has become known for her singular vision, embodying an elegant fusion of Eastern and Western sensibilities and aesthetics. Born and raised in Bombay/Mumbai, Reeta has a B.A. in Economics and Interior Design from Jai Hind and Raheja School of Architecture respectively. She then moved to New York City to earn her Master’s degree in Furniture Design and Design Management from Pratt Institute.
Uniquely inspired by the artistry, history and vibrancy of her homeland, along with her metropolitan education and lifestyle, Reeta’s design sensibility has become synonymous with enduring luxury and modern sophistication. Her Farrago designs transport time-honored artistry and beauty into the modern world with newly interpreted purpose.
Farrago Design’s sophisticated interiors reflect Reeta’s multi-faceted influences and, above all, each client’s unique desires and dreams for their home. Reeta curates rich, refined interiors thoughtfully layered with imaginative details and sumptuous furnishings celebrating diverse cultures, periods and styles.
Reeta’s Farrago collections of fine furnishings and accessories feature hand-forged mixed metals, natural minerals and pigments and intricate inlay fashioned from humanely harvested camel bone and sustainable woods. Harkening India’s enigmatic energy, saturated palettes and sweeping landscapes, Farrago home décor is described as sexy, sculptural and timeless.
Farrago’s “Tabla Table” design earned the 2016 Innovations Award from New York Cottages and Gardens magazine. Herwork has been showcased in galleries and showrooms in major cities around the globe and featured in leading national and international publications including: Architecture magazine, ELLE Décor magazine, Interior Design magazine, Esquire magazine, Hospitality Design magazine and the NY Daily News.
In addition to her love of fine design, Reeta is passionate about food and travel. Recently, she launched her brand “Relish the love,” a unique array of artisanal condiments inspired by the Indian chutneys and relishes from her childhood as well as her global gastronomic adventures.
