Stevens & Williams Ltd.

British, 1847 - 1967
Stevens & Williams Ltd. was an English glass company that was founded in 1847 in Stourbridge, a town in the West Midlands region of England. The company was known for its high-quality glassware, which was produced using traditional glassmaking techniques.

Stevens & Williams was particularly well-known for its cameo glass, which was created by layering different colored glass and then cutting away parts of the top layer to reveal the colors underneath. The company also produced a range of other glassware, including vases, bowls, and scent bottles.

Stevens & Williams was acquired by Royal Brierley Crystal in 1969, and the company continued to produce glassware under the Royal Brierley name. The Stourbridge site was eventually closed in 1991, and production was moved to a new factory in Brierley Hill, also in the West Midlands. Today, Royal Brierley is still known for producing high-quality crystal and glassware, including some designs that originated with Stevens & Williams.
