10 Volumes. Giorgio Vasari, Lives of the Most Eminent Painters, Sculptors, and Architects. Scarce set. Bound in 3/4 red morocco and marbled boards, bordered in gilt. Raised bands gilt with panels displaying triple-ruled gilt borders and label lettering. The top edges are gilt with marbled endpapers. Translated by Gaston Du C. De Vere with 500 illustrations. Published by Macmillan & Co., Ltd. in London, 1912-14.
