Description French metal mantle clock with ‘Boiscontier a Paris Rue De Caumartin’ printed on its face. The crest is a basket with elaborate foliate motif over a symmetrically shaped case. The key operates the clock’s working movement through two key holes found in the face. The painted clock face has Roman numerals and corresponding time increments of five minutes each. The domed glass front and back can be opened. The clock sits atop a fluted column and is surrounded by wreath and garland details. The base of the column has an abundance of detail. The whole sits on four toupee shaped feet. The chime strikes once on the half hour and once for every hour on the hour.
