Rare Art Nouveau Gilt Bronze Museum Clock

Dimensions: 21.5 × 9 × 8 inches (55 × 23 × 20 cm)

Art nouveau clock features two dancing figures in flowing dresses and was designed for La Maison Moderne founded by Julius Meier-Graefe in Paris in 1898 to highlight the zenith of Art Nouveau design and innovation. Organic ginkgo leaf gilt bronze base witch looks to be of a tree form supporting the female twirling dancers in a state of jubilation.

Impressed signature to top ‘Voulot’.

Condition: Excellent. Clock works and rings very well. Clock keys are included.

provenance: Estate of Gladys Reiner Acquired from the previous by the present owner, Private Collection, New York.
