    Made by the Koken Barber Supply Company, St. Louis, Missouri. Chromed metal, porcelain, leather. Measures: 17.5" H x 9.5" W x 14.5" D (in upright position).

    This is a fully functional hydraulic model that would enable a traveling salesman to demonstrate all of the features incorporated into a full-sized chair. Such models would afford any salesman a clear advantage over competitors who were attempting to sell from printed catalogs. There are approximately two dozen of these chairs known to have survived.
