American Midcentury Modern sterling silver picture frame. Retailed by Cartier in New York. Flat and plain rectangular surround. With glass, silk lining, and wood laminate back and hinged easel support for portrait (vertical) display.

Marks include retailer’s stamp, no. 422, and phrase “Hand Made”. Very good condition.
