Presented to Capt. Charles H.E. Judkins, by his grateful friend, Eustace Barron, New York, August, 1849.

Brass rim mouthpiece
21” x 7.5”
An unusual nautical presentation trumpet with a nicely engraved steam ship on the reverse. Judkins was the Commodore of the Cunard Fleet of steamships and captained the first steamship across the Atlantic. Eustace Barron was a wealthy investor who was the partner of William Forbes and bought Santa Cruz island. -
