Description
A very large-scale mahogany, iron and brass ship’s wheel, English, circa 1900; mahogany ships helm with cast iron hub, twelve turned spokes with brass banding on both sides. The king spoke being capped with a brass cap.[1. When the "king spoke" pointed straight upward the rudder was believed to be dead straight to the hull. ]
