19th Century French Pair Gilt Bronze / Rouge Marble Garnitures / Urns

Description
Large pair of baluster form gilt bronze-mounted marble decorative garnitures / urns, in the manner of Pierre Gouthiere (French, 1732-1813). Each footed urn / garniture features a fruiting finials above verde antico marble caps, fluted necks with ormolu berried laurel rims, with an oviod bodies supported by garland-hung goats 'masque-headed tripods supported by cloven feet above conforming molded plinths with leaf tip moldings. The underside is stamped "J.G. / H" for a Parisian bronzer active "1890-1910". Each one measures 18 inches high (overall) x 7 inches diameter.
