"Our work explores the space that exists between drawing and sculpture and between sculpture and contemporary design creating poetic objects. We are interested in investigating the existing relationships between different plastic manifestations of contemporary art and design and their artistic contaminations. We look for concepts and develop iconic objects and installations that transcend their functionality to communicate a series of values. We curate projects and participate in different educational programmes. We understand that design is not only creating new objects but also designing new scenarios and contents to draw bridges between apparently disconnected disciplines." Andrea Santamarina is BFA Fine Arts from Complutense University of Madrid and L’Accademia di Belle Arti of Bologna (Italy). During 2004-2006 she joined the Design Department at FABRICA, The Benetton Communication Research Center (Italy), working closely with Aldo Cibic.
