    An early 20th century sycamore box with carved decoration with straps, & gilded buckles Interior has been relined, Germany, circa 1910.
    This is a stunning quality box with great detail in the carving to both the base & lid which gives a weaved effect.
    The overlaid straps & fine buckles really set it off.
    The original interior would have been either silk or taffeta & needed replacing to the light suede as shown.
