Description
German Neoclassical silver trinket box, ca 1910. Oval; sides straight with scrolled frames of which one vacant; the rest inset with flowers. Cover hinged and curved with scene of chaste gallantry: A gentleman helps a lady descend a perron; castle in background. Gadrooned rim. Detachable velvet lining. Marks: 1956 English sterling-standard by London Assay Office. Very good condition.
