    An antique Japanese Hayashi school brass and enamel vase, Meiji period, 1868 to 1912. The baluster body is finely worked in silver wire and adorned with a polychrome design representing wisteria flowers and irises made in the cloisonne technique on a midnight blue ground. The tapering neck and the base are decorated with polychrome foliage and floral patterns made in the same technique. Unmarked.
