Mid-Century Sculptural Black Iron & Brass Andirons by Donald Deskey for Bennet
-
Description
This lovely Pair of Mid-Century Modernist Andirons in Iron W/ Sculptural Black Detailing by Donald Deskey for Bennet originates from the United States, Circa 1950. They feature a base composed of two cylindrical feet with brass sabots which curve upwards to form the central body of the andirons. Expanding upwards with swooping lines and an edge in the center, they expand at the top holding a rounded sculptural brass detailing, unifying with the brass sabots of the base and adding an eye catching moment to each andiron. The polished brass contrasts beautifully with the Iron, achieving a lovely balance and distinct quality to the andirons. This pair will style well in a wide array of spaces and settings, from Mid-Century Modernist to Contemporary and Minimal Interiors. In Excellent Vintage Condition.
